Youth-led projects for the sustainable development of the Mediterranean: the network of SDSN (Youth) Med

Data: 29/09/2023
Ora: 17:00
Luogo: Siena, Santa Chiara Lab e online

The event, organized by SDSN Mediterranean and SDSN Youth Mediterranean, aims to give a space to students, young innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers from the Mediterranean region to showcase their youth-led and youth-focused sustainability projects. Speakers will present their research and initiatives of cooperation in the sustainability field in the Mediterranean, with a focus on the agri-food sector. The hybrid event also falls on the International Day of Awareness on Food Loss and Waste Reduction, which is a topic very close to the work of the networks.
SDSN Youth Mediterranean and other SDSN Youth Networks will also present their activities to inspire, engage and mobilize young people to become active agents in the achievement of sustainable development. These include the Mediterranean Youth Solutions Report 2022, a collection of youth-led and youth-focused projects showing the role of youth for innovation in the agri-food sector in the Mediterranean.
Through the event, we would like to highlight as well the opportunities of international cooperation and experiences that are offered by the University of Siena and the various international organizations with which it collaborates, including SDSN and SDSN Youth.
